Another great night for Kyle!!

TIGERS 57 WORKINGTON 38. TIGERS became to first team to take a Premier Trophy aggregate bonus point from the pace-setting Comets as they took a stride towards the semi-finals. The Owlerton men flexed their muscles with heat wins in five of the last six races to snuff out any hopes the Cumbrians had of defending the five-point advantage from the first leg at Derwent Park in March. Sheffield skipper Andre Compton again led by example, unbeaten by an opponent in five rides, while Ricky Ashworth carded 12 and the lively Kyle Legault also notched double figures. Compton was headed only once, as he made a hash of the start in Heat 15 but roared round the boards to pass Workington big guns Paul Thorp and Garry Stead inside half a lap. Emiliano Sanchez proved that he's getting to grips with his new base with paid eight, including an impressive win in Heat 12, while the Argentinean was also in the thick of it in Heat 3 when he trapped, only to be passed by Comets' highly-rated James Wright - but Legault shot past everyone to score his first win of the night. Tigers were ten up after eight heats and even though the Comets reduced the deficit to seven points in the next race, Sheffield simply had too much firepower in the final clutch of heats. Thorp and Stead were best for the visitors, while the bonus point will now give Tigers a hefty boost in their claim for a top two slot in the Trophy's Northern Section. Workington lost reserve Lee Derbyshire with a broken tibia and fibula in his first race after crashing on turn four, leaving Aidan Collins to take a mountainous seven rides. TIGERS: Andre Compton 14+1, Ricky Ashworth 12, Kyle Legault 9+1, Emiliano Sanchez 7+1, Ben Wilson 5+2, Paul Cooper 5+1, Benji Compton 5+1. WORKINGTON: Paul Thorp 12, Garry Stead 11, James Wright 7, Tomasz Piszcz 5+2, Ritchie Hawkins 2, Aidan Collins 1, Lee Derbyshire 0.
