First max for Kyle in big home win for Tigers!!!

TIGERS 64 NEWCASTLE 30. SHEFFIELD Pirtek Tigers romped home to an easy Premier Trophy win over Newcastle at Owlerton. No less than three Pirtek Tigers men - brothers Andre and Benji Compton and Kyle Legault were unbeaten by a visiting rider in a powerhouse performance. Diamonds boss George English nominated both George Stancl - who started his career with Sheffield in 1994 - and Josef Franc for double points under the tactical rule but they failed to make any significant impression on the match. Captain Compton was troubled only once when he trailed Stancl from the start of Heat 15, but he wasted no time in lining up his man and at high speed he swooped inside on the third turn to take the lead and complete his maximum. Legault had already completed his 12-point maximum in the previous race when he got the better of Franc and Benji Compton, in his debut Premier League season, beat Newcastle reserve Jamie Robertson to get his full house in Heat 12. TIGERS: Andre Compton 15, Kyle Legault 12, Ben Wilson 11+1, Benji Compton 9+3, Ricky Ashworth 8+2, Emiliano Sanchez 6+1, Paul Cooper 3. NEWCASTLE: George Stancl 11, Josef Franc 8+1, James Grieves 4, Jamie Roberston 3, Christian Henry 2+1, Adam McKinna 1+1, Manuel Hauzinger 1. Next action at Berwick Sat 1st April 7.00pm gmt(2.00pm est)
