Kyle Legault goes through!!

FORMER Grand Prix man Niels-Kristian Iversen proved to be the class of the field in Saturday's G.P. qualifying quarter-final at Terenzano, Italy. The Danish star powered to five straight wins for a 15-point maximum, winning the meeting with a full three points to spare over his nearest rivals. The battle for the other rostrum places went to a run-off, with Jurica Pavlic and Rafal Dobrucki both making a strong finish to the meeting with three wins on the trot after scoring three points from their first two rides. They were joined on 12 by surprise package Richard Hall, the British rider always looking a likely qualifier as he found the Italian circuit to his liking. Pavlic won the run-off for second place ahead of Dobrucki with Hall falling, but the three riders' places in the semis were already guaranteed. Also going through with double-figure scores were Kyle Legault (11), Niklas Klingberg (10) and Steve Johnston (10). There was a run-off for the reserve position with British GP Wild Card David Howe taking that spot after both he and Henrik Moller had tied on eight points - but ex-GP man Matej Ferjan missed out with five.
