Tigers win at home 65-30 !!!

SHEFFIELD PIRTEK TIGERS were in the maximum mood as they demolished Somerset at Owlerton. Three of their riders were unbeaten by an opponent as Sheffield boosted their hopes of a top three Premier League finish. Sean Wilson, Andre Compton and Richard Hall all recorded maximums and fast emerging reserve Kyle Legault dropped only one point. There was a negative aspect to the meeting, however, when Ricky Ashworth was thrown from his machine at high speed in his last outing. The popular Mancunian was heading for a fourth straight win in heat 12 when he locked up and landed awkwardly. He was taken to hospital for observation after the meeting as he was complaining of dizzy spells with concussion the most likely outcome.Somerset were a well beaten side from the early stages of the meeting and, in truth, put up very little resistance. It was Compton and Sean Wilson who teamed up in heats 13 and 15 for maximums which piled on the misery for the Rebels who made the long journey back to Highbridge a well beaten side. TIGERS: Sean Wilson 14+1, Andre Compton 13+2, Kyle Legault 11, Richard Hall 9+3, Ricky Ashworth 9, Ben Wilson 5+2, Paul Cooper 4+1. SOMERSET: Chris Mills 10, Magnus Zetterstrom 8, Paul Fry 6+2, Glenn Cunningham 5, Simon Walker 1, Jamie Smith 0.
