Heye takes his first 2006 main!!
Wow! What a night of racing at Paris! - (A quick overview!!!)A night mixed of the tapes being hit, torn and ripped. Crashes and wicked racing!Congratulations has to be offered to Joe Heye, who spectacularly won his first main event of the year. Having had a bike failure in the heats, Joe rode his heart out and thanks to some work from Jeff Orosz, his tuned bike powered away, ironically from Jeff, in the main Division 1 final.Aaron Hesmer lost a chain in one heat and also had some under powered heats, which unexpectedly left him with the Consi-final win.Gary Hesmer, Rob Dixon and the other Divison 1 riders, had a great night and all proved that they are getting into their grooves for 2006.Poor Doug Beaumont was out of luck in the consi-final and crashed hard which left him dazed on the track with a badly broken helmet, and a big bump on his head. He was ok, but looked a little shaken up!Mike Buman had a horrendous crash, in which he seemed to have a chain come off and lock his back wheel coming out of turn 4, his back wheel grabbed and he lifted up and drove straight at the fence, luckily for him, but unluckily for Jeff Orosz, he hit Jeff in the side and they both went down really hard. The ambulance was needed to work on a dazed, beaten and bruised Mike Buman. Miraculously, Jeff got straight up and ran back to the pits with his bike to have a check over. Mike was taken to hospital as a precaution and we will update you further soon. The tapes had a bad time and were hit by alot of riders! Many false starts caused the evenings program to run longer than usual though, and thanks to everyone for their patience. Dave Hensby.
