Kyle Legault progress report from Kyle.

"Hey everyoneI am now going to physio twice a week exercising my leg muscles on a daily basis and I’m amazed with the progress already. Everything seems to be coming together very well. I feel I am getting better and better each day. This is keeping me very busy and helping my days pass quickly. The Doctor says only 3 weeks and 2 days until I can safely walk again with out my crutches!I would like to extend a big thankyou to all the Mildenhall fans who kindly raised money for me, It was very much appreciatedIn the mean time I am keeping busy doing bits and pieces around the workshop. Gibbo took me skeet shooting at the weekend, I didn’t do too bad for a rookie, I tell ya it took me a few shots to get my balance right but I think I ended up hitting 13 out of 25 shots.I do plan on making the trip to Brum this Sunday. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there. It’s a big pain not being able to drive and I feel useless as a passenger but hope to be behind the wheel in a few weeks time.See Ya." Kyle.

Kyle out of hospital!!

"I am thankfully out of the hospital now and starting a road to recovery.Well this has certainly put me on my backside for a while and has opened my eyes a little too. I have now got a lot of bridges to cross to get myself back on a bike and back riding again as soon as I can.I have to send out a big thank you to Big Wen, Sean Wilson and Richie Musson, who kindly rescued me from hospital last night, its great to be out and back in the land of the living.I must however say one big big no thank you to the first doctor i saw at the hospital ;-)I am feeling loads better now for a good nights sleep and some good food.Later this week I am looking to see a physio to assess the break and develop a game plan for getting me riding again. It was looking like being a good season until my accident as I had a good meeting in Poland the weekend before, but I suppose I have to take the rough with the smooth sometimes.Thank you to every one who has been sending me cards and get well wishes, they are all really much appreciated.I must also extend a massive thank you to Sean & kate for putting me up while I recover and also to Gibbo and Lynn for their kind offer too.I am now looking forward to getting into the gym in the next few weeks to keep my upper body strength up, so nothing goes to waste. One thing I would like to say is get well soon to all my fellow riders who have also suffered injuries at the start of the season, its been a pretty rough start to 2008, but things can only get better.Keep your heads up and keep smiling " Kyle.

Bad news for Legault!

Birmingham rider Kyle Legault is set for surgery to pin the broken femur he suffered during the Premier Trophy win over Rye House. The Canadian star won't be able to put any weight on the leg for between six to eight weeks and is likely to remain in hospital for a week at least. He crashed in Heat 6 of the Rye House meeting when he clipped the Perry Barr fence and lost control in horrifying scenes.Brummies boss Graham Drury said: "We feel terribly sorry for the lad and our first thoughts have to be with him."It's also a massive blow for the team, just when we all had this belief that things were coming together nicely."Fans are urged to avoid ringing the hospital for updates and anyone wanting to send cards should post them to: Kyle Legault, C/O Bextec Solutions, 11 Sovereigns Way, Dewsbury WF12 9PF.
